Kashmir, June 26(TTK): Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced that the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) will be repealed in Jammu and Kashmir once peace is restored in the region. Speaking at a security conclave in Jammu, Singh highlighted the successful removal of AFSPA from significant parts of the North East and expressed his anticipation for the day when lasting peace will enable its removal in J&K as well. No specific timeline was provided for the repeal.
