A man lost his life in a violation in Mattan, Anantnag. During a scuffle, he was struck on the head with a steel rod. Despite immediate medical attention, he was declared dead on arrival at the nearby hospital. Police have registered a case and investigations are underway.
The incident took place at Paibugh area when a clash broke out between two attacking groups. During the altercation, one individual from the opposing party struck the man on the head with a steel rod, causing severe injuries. The injured person was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment where he was later declared dead.
The deceased has been identified as Faizan Nabi Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat, a resident of Pehroo, Anantnag. A case has been registered in connection with the incident to facilitate further investigations, informed the official.
