*Sister Dies Trying to Save Brother from Drowning in Sumbal Bandipora....
Bandipora, June 25 (TTK): In a devastating incident, a young woman lost her life while attempting to rescue her brother who was drowning in the Sumbal area of Bandipora district in north Kashmir.
According to reports, a 21-year-old boy named Nazakat Ali drowned while bathing in a river in Shadipora, Sumbal, this morning. As word of the incident spread, several onlookers and locals rushed to the scene to rescue the boy. In a desperate bid to save her brother, the sister also jumped into the river.
While the boy was eventually saved, the girl tragically lost her life after being pulled out of the water.
The deceased girl has been identified as Nuzhat Afzal, aged 18.
The boy, who was rescued, has been urgently transferred to JVC Hospital in critical condition.
A police official has confirmed the incident and stated that they are currently gathering necessary details about the tragic event.
