According to an announcement made by Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, the Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir, the sighting of the Zil Haj moon on Monday evening confirms that Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on June 29 in the region.

Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam declared that the Zil Hajj moon was spotted during the evening of Monday, thus marking the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha on June 29.

He stated, "The sighting of the Zil Hajj moon took place this evening, affirming that Eid-ul-Adha will be observed on June 29." He further emphasized that substantial evidence has been gathered regarding the sighting of the moon.
