Second major infiltration attempt this month
Kupwara, June 23: In a joint operation, the Army and Police successfully neutralized four militants in the Kala Jungle area of the Machil sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district, north Kashmir. The militants were attempting to infiltrate from the Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) side. This marks the second significant infiltration attempt in the region this month. The recent decline in infiltration and ceasefire violations has allowed tourism activities to pick up in previously restricted areas, particularly in the Kashmir Valley.
