Srinagar, June 23: A devastating road accident took the life of a 22-year-old resident of old Srinagar city on Friday.
According to family sources of the deceased, identified as Sahib Mukhtar Bhat, he was accompanied by a friend on their way to Budgam to purchase a sacrificial animal when their Scooty collided with a motorbike near the Peer Bagh area on the outskirts of Srinagar.
While the biker and the deceased's friend sustained minor injuries, Sahib Mukhtar Bhat was immediately transported to the Bone and Joint Hospital. Sadly, the doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Hailing from Hawal, Srinagar, the young individual's untimely demise has left the community in deep sorrow.
The local authorities have registered a case under the appropriate sections of the law in connection with the incident.(TTK)
