Police seize assets worth Rs 18.36 lakh from female drug peddler in Bandipora..
Bandipora, June 23 (TTK): The Jammu and Kashmir Police took action on Friday by seizing bank savings and other financial instruments totaling Rs 18,36,611 from a notorious female drug peddler and her family in the Bandipora district of north Kashmir.
According to an officials , this step was taken under the provisions of the NDPS Act after identifying the confiscated assets as proceeds derived from the illegal sale of narcotic drugs.
"Under the NDPS Act, Bandipora Police has seized bank savings and other financial instruments amounting to ₹ 18,36,611 belonging to Posha Begum, a notorious drug peddler, and her family," tweeted the Bandipora police.
The police further stated that these assets were acquired illegally through the sale of drugs.
