The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) has declared a summer recess for faculty, students, and research scholars from June 28 to July 07. The announcement was made by the Deputy Registrar Administration on June 26, following recommendations from the Deans of Schools and approval from the Competent Authority.

During the summer break, regular academic classes and research activities will be halted, and the university premises will be closed. However, essential services like security and maintenance will continue to operate without interruption.

The summer vacation will grant faculty, students, and research scholars an opportunity to take a respite from their educational and research responsibilities and rejuvenate themselves for the upcoming academic session. Additionally, it will enable the university administration to conduct necessary maintenance work and other essential tasks to ensure the institution's smooth functioning.

The university has advised all faculty, students, and research scholars to plan their work accordingly and make the most of the summer recess. They have also urged everyone to strictly adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols during this period to mitigate the spread of the virus.
