Pattan, June 27 (TTK): A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning in the Singhpora Pattan area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district, resulting in the death of a 75-year-old pedestrian.
According to official sources, a 75-year-old pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by an auto vehicle on the National Highway near Chenabal Singhpora. Local residents promptly rushed to the scene and attempted to transport the injured individual to a nearby hospital in Srinagar. However, the victim tragically passed away during the journey.
The deceased has been identified as Ali Mohammad Dar, aged 75, son of Ab. Rehman, and a resident of Chenibal Singhpora Pattan.
In response to the incident, the Pattan Police swiftly apprehended the driver involved and have initiated legal proceedings. Further investigations are underway, as stated by official sources.
