Two Suspected Militant Associates Apprehended in Anantnag...
Anantnag, June 22 (TTK): Security forces have detained two persons suspected to be associated with militants in the Bijbehera area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district. Officials said on Thursday that during the operation, a joint effort by the Army, Police, and CRPF led to the arrest of the two persons. The arrested suspects have been identified as Abrar ul Haq Katoo, son of Mushtaq Ahmed Katoo, a resident of Arwani Bijbehara, and Tauseef Ahmad Bhat, son of Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Shetipora Bijbehara.
According to officials, the security forces recovered a sum of Rs one lakh, along with 12 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and one grenade, from the possession of the detained individuals. The successful operation signifies a significant step in the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.(TTK)
