Senior Prosecuting Officer, Jaasir Ashraf Mir, currently stationed at ZPHQ in Kashmir, has been announced as a recipient of the highly competitive and esteemed Chevening Scholarship.
As part of this prestigious scholarship, Mir has been granted the opportunity to pursue either an MSc in Human Rights from the renowned London School of Economics (LSE) or an LLM in Human Rights, Conflict, and Justice from SOAS, University of London. These institutions are widely recognized for their academic excellence in the United Kingdom.
The Chevening Scholarship is a fully funded postgraduate program initiated by the UK government to support individuals with outstanding leadership qualities in pursuing Master's degrees while fostering robust networking skills.
This year, the scholarship received an overwhelming response from approximately 70,000 applicants worldwide.
