Man arrested for alleged murder of mother-in-law in Central Kashmir..
Srinagar, July 23 (TTK): A man has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of his mother-in-law in the Botakadal area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar district on Sunday.
According to official sources and the news agency Kashmir Scroll, Lalbazar police received information about an assault on Saleema, the wife of Late Mohd Qasim and a resident of Gulshan Bagh, Botakadal. The suspect has been identified as Shabir Ahmad Bhat, son-in-law of the victim, originally from Pattan.
Tragically, the incident resulted in the immediate death of the lady. Following the incident, a case was registered under FIR No 45/2023 u/s 302 IPC at the Lalbazar police station.
After evading arrest, the accused, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, was apprehended during the course of the investigation and has now been formally arrested in connection with the case.
