(TTK) June 30: The government has approved the temporary suspension of mobile internet services in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir....




 The suspension is being implemented "in order to safeguard the sovereignty and integrity of India, ensure the security of the State, and maintain public order."

As per an official order, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for the Jammu Zone, who is the Authorized Officer under the Temporary Suspension of Telecom Services (Public Emergency or Public Safety) Rules, 2017, has directed the Telecom Service Providers (TSPs)/Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to suspend mobile data services (3G/4G/5G) and limit 2G data services (with speeds less than 100 KBPS) in Kishtwar district. The suspension was effective from June 28 (2200 Hours) and lasted until June 29 (1800 Hours).
