Samba, July 21 (TTK) : In a tragic incident, a man was arrested by Samba Police today for allegedly killing his wife in Ramgarh district.
The victim, a 24-year-old housewife and mother of a two-year-old girl, was brutally murdered by her husband using a sharp-edged weapon, as reported by a senior police officer.
The authorities swiftly responded to the heinous act, initiating a thorough search operation in the district. Despite the accused's attempt to flee the crime scene, the police efficiently set up checkpoints and alerted law enforcement personnel throughout the area, leading to the prompt arrest of the suspect.
The police have registered the case under FIR No. 40/2023 u/s 302 IPC at Police Station Ramgarh. The body of the deceased has undergone a post-mortem examination conducted by a team of doctors. After completing all necessary legal procedures, the accused, identified as Sunil Kumar alias Sunny Lam Man bad, son of Darshan Kumar Choudhary and a resident of Ramgarh district in Samba, was apprehended by the authorities.
The victim, Rimpy from Ramgarh, had been married to Sunil alias Sunny Lambad for nearly four years. Despite having a young daughter together, Sunil reportedly committed this heart-wrenching act. The accused husband is now in custody, and an ongoing investigation is underway, as stated by the officer in charge.
